How I work
My Approach
My focus is on helping people view their issues in perspective so they can make the best choices for themselves.
I try to establish a relaxed atmosphere where a person can feel comfortable expressing and clarifying their issues. I am a good listener, but I also actively participate where appropriate. I tailor my approach to meet your needs rather than using only one psychological method exclusively.
In 60 years of practice, and having seen thousands of clients, I have experience across the major schools of therapy.
Whatever brings you in, the method serves you, never the other way around.
Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Therapy
Looks at the long-standing patterns behind how you feel and react today.
Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy
Practical, present-focused work on the thoughts and habits that keep a problem going.
Hypnosis
A focused state of attention that can help with specific habits and anxieties, used only when it fits the situation.
